about

Fallen Asunder returns with their newest single after their debut album released in 2016 described as a truly great, hard record of speed, fun, and solid songsmithing, by Short and Sweet LA. Fallen Asunder returns with their signature sound described by Skopemag that screams out to the heavens as the vocals soar above the colossal riffs and driving rhythms. The song Indoctrination is a passion piece promoting their views on free thought for children and everyone alike, sang with passion and power over intricate guitar riffs and solos, inspired by many different genres of rock and metal alike.

lyrics

Indoctrination

We were only children, in a world all so brand new
Intrigued by the wonders around
We were so naive, so impressionable
That;s when they push their doctrine deep inside our minds
We were just children, we never had a voice
What we believe in should only be our choice

We grew up with this indoctrination
as they planted seed after seed in our brains
All we have left is this indoctrination
With free thought pushed out, just their beliefs remain
It's time to pull out these seeded roots
and take back our lives and let free thought reign

Passed from ruler to nation to village to father to son
this doctrine's cycle never ends
Countless generations using indoctrination,
this doctrine eventually controlled us all
The manipulation never ends
Sowing fear deep in our minds,
convincing us it's love from the divine,
using our desires and the fear of the fire
to dominate us all

Enough. I refuse to live this life
to some doctrine crafted by rulers to control
their followers countless years ago

The mind's our most precious thing those in power try to dominate
It's so easy to manipulate when we all just want to believe
in something more than this life, but it should only be our choice
I plead to all who will listen, let free though reign.
